My private prenatal classes are designed to help you have all the information and practical skills you need to approach birth with confidence. 2015 Small Group Classes will be announced soon, or contact me to schedule a private prenatal class! I am happy to offer an initial personal consultation by phone to help you decide on the best match for your needs.

Private Childbirth Education Just For You
This private childbirth education class is personalized to answer the specific questions you have and the evidence based information you need to complete your birth planning and preparation. A variety of teaching strategies from many respected sources are utilized in your own comfortable atmosphere for all types of learners. Classes may be broken up into 2 or 3 hour increments, or completed in a day or two of intensive sessions. Tailored to your schedule and needs!
Labor Support Class for the Birth Team
Do you have a team of friends or family planning to attend your birth offering physical or emotional support? My private labor support workshop for your birth team will offer them practical hands-on doula skills to help them offer you the very best. As a professional doula trainer, I will bring some of my favorite tips and tricks to share with your birth team in your home, practicing hands-on positioning and comfort techniques, along with some basic ChildBirth Education and birthplace strategies.

Cost for a private prenatal class is $40 per hour, with a minimum of 4 hours. Length and content are customized to your needs, with an average length of 6 – 10 hours needed. 20% Discount for Birth Doula Clients. $50 deposit to reserve your spot, with the balance due at your first session. I accept cash, checks, or credit cards via Paypal online or Square or Paypal in person. Payment details will be send upon registration.
Small Group Childbirth Classes
for Home Birth and Birth Centers
Taught by a certified doula* and experienced childbirth educator, these small group classes are designed to tell you in-depth what you want to know to be prepared for your choice of a home birth or birth center. A combination of traditional classroom teaching and videos from various respected sources, mixed up with fun and relevant hands-on practice, and some seriously good strategies for pregnancy, labor, birth and the newborn. Recommended for 2nd or 3rd trimester, and held in your local midwife’s office or birth center.
Small Group Childbirth Classes
for Hospital Births
Taught by a certified doula* and experienced childbirth educator, these small group classes are designed to tell you in-depth what you want to know about the hospital birth choices you are making. A combination of traditional classroom and videos from various respected sources, mixed up with fun and relevant hands-on practice, and some seriously good strategies for pregnancy, labor, birth and caring for your newborn baby. Recommended for 2nd or 3rd trimester, and held in San Luis Obispo or North County venues.
Cost for a group prenatal class is $250 / couple with 3 classes of 3 hours each. Includes all class materials plus access to my library of birth books, videos, and trusted online list of websites and resources. We’ll enjoy healthy snacks and teas too! 20% Discount for Birth Doula Clients. $50 deposit to reserve your spot, with the balance due at your first session. Custom Childbirth Classes for VBAC, Multiples, or High Risk Pregnancies
Do your circumstances in pregnancy leave you feeling that there is no childbirth education class for you? Are you, your partner, and family members conflicted about the choices you have for pregnancy and birth, or fearing an unexpected outcome for your child?
Let me listen to you and help navigate the maze of research and questions you have regarding the choices you are facing. As a Certified CAPPA Doula, I do not give medical advice, but I can assist you in asking the best questions to get answers, and support you in preparing for your birth in the best way for you. I have support experience with complications, and an excellent list of referrals and connections. I can provide private classes, or schedule a small group with others in similar situations.
Cost is $350 for a custom childbirth class of 12 hours (minimum 3 hours per class session, 2 to 4 sessions). Reserve your spot with a $50 deposit, with the balance due at your first session. 25% discount for Birth Doula Clients.
